Ok, so there has been a healthy response since I put my chopped paintings up for grabs on atcsforall.com, the first time I've put my cards out there since about five years ago. At that time, interest was dwindling. There were fewer 1-on-1 trades, and that was probably because stamps add up terribly quickly. This is even more true today.
It's so worth it though, heading off to another boring day of work but finding a small envelope in my mailbox with my name on it! The cards I've received lately have been pretty high-calibre! I love each individual style; some people send postcards with little stories of their life, others even add extra supplies, and some cards are just tossed into plain envelopes in a minimalist fashion. I guess that's most of the fun.
Also, may I add that you all have such diverse and interesting stamps?? It pleases me greatly to receive letters with pictures of turtles and cartoons and plants on them! When I buy stamps they pull a booklet out of a hidden drawer and take my money. I don't get to choose a style or subject, and the designs never change! You're always going to get pictures of space shuttles or open Canadian fields on my letters. Sorry about that.
