My alone time is constantly dwindling so here's a quick entry from the found poetry journal. As I mentioned last time, it's not so much a writing project (I don't actually like the poetic result much) as it is a destroy-this-old-written-journal project. I just want to point out how super appropriate it is that the entry I tore up to make the poetry made mention of the Bush/Kerry election of 2004. It also made mention of a red gel pen that had exploded on my desk. This was pretty serendipitous. Though I can't say it is anything more than that since it was written during November of that year, so it isn't even a particularly spooky coincidence. Still! Perfect.
Coming up next, a couple of new sketchbooks for the shop. It's great to be able to crank out sketchbooks like this (provided I can scrape together the time to do it), and it's all because one store closed down and another store put up their entire stock on the perfect weight/size cotton printmaking paper on deep clearance. Otherwise, I don't know if I would be making journals at all. Hmm.
