Going to the Carded! show was harder than I'd expected. I knew I was going to be shy and ineffective, but I didn't expect to be quite hyperventilating in a corner. The wine didn't help much. Bringing company didn't help much. The crowd grew until it was difficult to move around, and somehow it was difficult to find people who didn't have one of my crow cards in their little purchased decks.
This was after panicking slightly because they printed information on the back of my card that was incorrect. They wrote that I had a BA degree, which is far from the truth. Yikes! When people put fake degrees on their resumes, and their employers find out, they get fired! I don't want to get fired from the arts industry guys! Thaaaaaannnkkkss.
The other art was pretty amazing, though. You should have been there! There were so many cards I would have loved to get, but I gave myself an hour, and took any card people were willing to give me, and got the heck outta there. I'm just lucky I have today to deal with this social hangover.
Hello! I'm Melissa, and here you'll find some behind-the-scenes footage of an artful life. Won't you join me?
