Ooh. I have a feeling that I'm really going to like this sketchbook. Surprisingly, what I love most about it already is its size. I can do some serious watercolour play on this paper, and since each page is only 4x5 inches, a single tiny study will go so far. Knowing I have a regular no-pressure sketchbook on standby for notes and thumbnails means that this little sketchbook may turn out to be more of a polished art book. That's kind of exciting.
Recently, Tara Leaver suggested we tape off the edges of our paper artworks, even in sketchbooks, and I am intrigued. I used to tape off my paintings all of the time (as is the standard in watercolour) but then I'd stopped because I never have a flat surface large enough to attach to. But sketchbook pages??? I wouldn't have thought of that. At least in hers, it makes them look like printed art books which is pretty neato. I will be using this tip!
